Willis O'Brien is the man who did the stop-motion effects for King Kong and the dinosaurs of Skull Island in King Kong (1933). He is also well known for doing the dinosaur stop-motion effects in the 1925 film The Lost World. Willis O'Brien would also later go on to make the stop motion effects for Son of Kong, the King Kong sequal, and Mighty Joe Young, a film about a girl and an ape named Joe that, in a small way, resembles Kong. O'Brien also did the special effects for the legendary Citizen Kane starring Orson Welles. O'Brien however did not finish all of his films, some of these unfinished films would be Atlantis, Creation, and Frankenstein. However the film Creation did have some ideas that made it into King Kong and the dinosaur models from King Kong were originally made for Creation.
